VIDEO: Oral Argument in Illinois Supreme Court Case Parallels Moore v Madigan

Posted By TheGunMag On Thursday, September 13, 2012 07:18 PM. Under Breaking News, Gun Mag Reports

Public defender David C. Holland recently made a striking appeal against the Illinois carry ban in the Illinois State Supreme Court.

If read on paper Holland’s argument could possibly pass for one made from the Second Amendment Foundation’s own Alan Gura–the attorney credited with successfully arguing McDonald v Chicago, and Heller v District of Columbia. A ruling on SAF’s Illinois carry case Moore v Madigan could be handed down soon from theĀ 7th Circuit Court of Appeals.

The state’s case seems to collapse as the state attorney can’t cite precedent and disregards the right to keep and bear arms on private property, or in public.
