The core of the Chest Rig Nomad is a handgun-model-specific rugged Kydex pocket fitted to CrossBreed’s premium soft and breathable leather backer. This wide and padded backer distributes pressure and fully supports the handgun to eliminate uncomfortable “hot spots” and pressure points during long days on the trail. Because the three-point strap system is adjustable, the Chest Rig Nomad adapts not only to different pack designs but can be loosened or tightened to accommodate seasonal clothing requirements.
Further customizing of the Chest Rig Nomad comes courtesy of the versatile handgun retention system. Loosening or tightening the pocket-to-backer screws provides the optimal lateral tension on the handgun while the integrated trigger guard retainer can be adjusted for perfect retention and draw performance similar to CrossBreed’s Reckoning holster system.
Taking the pack off or putting it on with the Chest Rig Nomad is made easy with a quick-release buckle system. Simply compress the side release just as you would the pack’s sternum strap buckle and the pack can be taken off without having to remove the holster.
