WA school officials allowed to pack guns

While gun prohibitionists including billionaire former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg were trying to pass a gun control initiative in Washington State, some officials in the Toppenish School District are packing firearms under a new program

According to KIRO-TV, the CBS affiliate in Seattle, the school district has adopted guidelines that require anyone authorized to carry a firearm on a district campus to undergo an extensive background check, and non-law enforcement staffers need a concealed pistol license. Toppenish is located about 150 miles southeast of Seattle in the Yakima Valley.
