Boston Police Arrest, Charge Man in Armed ‘Social Distance’ Beef

Police in Boston, Mass., recently put handcuffs on a 40-year-old man after he allegedly pulled a handgun on people outside of a Dorchester bank in a dispute over social distancing, according to WBZ News.

Published reports say the suspect, identified as Ricardio Pantojas, was involved in an argument with another bank customer over social distancing. The suspect eventually was asked to move. That was when, according to WHDH News, the suspect drew his gun, identified as a .380-caliber Bersa semiautomatic pistol.

Police were called but before they could arrive, Pantojas reportedly hopped in a car with a woman and drove away. Police were able to find him, and a search of the car turned up the handgun.

Reports say Pantojas was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, carrying a loaded gun, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon,
