The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms is going on the offensive.
In a message posted on social media, CCRKBA Managing Director Andrew Gottlieb cautioned, “The 2025-2026 legislative cycle will be decisive. If groups like Everytown and Giffords succeed, we may never regain our Second Amendment rights.”
Gottlieb’s message is reaching grassroots gun rights activists across the map, reminding them, “The fight to protect our Second Amendment rights has reached a critical moment. Anti-gun organizations with massive funding are launching coordinated attacks in over 12 states, while continuing their attempts at the federal level to restrict law-abiding citizens’ constitutional rights:

Funds raised by CCRKBA go to these important tasks, and more:
• Challenge ATF overreach and fight unconstitutional restrictions
• Fund crucial lobbying efforts at state and federal levels
• Support legal challenges to protect gun owners’ rights
• Counter well-funded anti-2A campaigns spreading misinformation
“The next few months are crucial,” CCRKBA says. “We’re facing well-funded opposition in multiple battleground states, and we need to strengthen our resources to effectively defend our constitutional rights. The gun control lobby is flush with billionaire cash, fawning media coverage, and a new generation of political foot soldiers. They’re launching the most aggressive assault on your rights in years. Everytown, Brady, Giffords, Moms demand, Sandy Hook Promise. These groups are no longer content with background check databases or so-called ‘red flag’ laws.”
“The Anti-Gun Lobby is Growing,” according to the CCRKBA message. “Each of these anti-rights groups specializes in a different area of attacks on the Second Amendment:
- Everytown writes the Anti-Gun Bills
- Moms Demand floods town halls and rallies voters
- Brady weaponizes the courts
- Giffords leverages political connections and celebrity media
- Sandy Hook Promise embeds anti-gun training into our schools
“This is a five-pronged war on gun rights – fought in legislatures, courthouses, classrooms, city halls, and even social media platforms. They’ve aligned their playbooks, synchronized their messaging, and pooled their resources.”
