Ruger has introduced four additions to its “Street Edition” series of SR 1911 pistols, all built on the Lightweight Commander-style platform, and each one represents a different Ruger facility in the U.S.
Each model features a unique grip color, engraved street names and intricate design details tying them together with the series.
These are all limited production models. They all feature a lightweight aluminum black anodized frame, beavertail grip safety, skeleton hammer, titanium firing pin, extended thumb safety and slide stop lever, oversized ejection port, extended magazine release, polished titanium feed ramp, stainless steel slide, 4.25-inch barrel cut with six lands and grooves on a 1:16 inch right hand twist, drift-adjustable Novak 3-Dot sights dovetailed front and rear, a 7+1 capacity, a flat mainspring housing and all are chambered for the .45 ACP cartridge.

The Southport, CT edition features a finely engraved stainless steel slide including the Ruger logo and bald eagle on the sides with the Ruger logo and “One Lacey Place” adorned on the top of the slide. Grip panels on this version are black/gray G10 with deluxe checkering.
Ruger’s Mayodan, N.C. edition (pictured top) also features an engraved slide with Ruger logo and the address “271 Cardwell Rd” on top of the slide. Grip panels on this one are green /black G10 with deluxe checkering.

The third version is the Newport, NH model, also with engraved slide and on top is the address “411 Sunapee St.” Grip panels are blue/black G10 with checkering.
