Serious hunters and shooters have come to rely on the best optics they can find, and those scopes, binoculars and spotters have become a big part of the SHOT Show.

The new Swarovski Z*1 scope is offered in four versions. This is the 18x56 model.

The new Swarovski Z*1 scope is offered in four versions. This is the 18×56 model.

New from Swarovski Optik (swarovskioptik.com) is the Z8i rifle scope, featuring an 8mm zoom and a switchable reticle called the FLEXCHANGE 4A-IF.

According to Swarovski literature, the FLEXCHANGE 4A-IF allows the shooter to switch the illuminated ring around the illuminate center dot on and off by pressing a button. This feature is offered on the 1-8×24 and 1.7-13.3x42P models.

The scope may also be fitted with optional ballistic turret flex that may be configured separately. These turrets can be attached and removed without tools.

Swarovski builds this scope with a 30mm main tube.

Also, Swarovski announced late last year that it will be handling marketing and sales for Kahles optics.

Introduced late in 2016, Bushnell’s (bushnell.com) Elite Tactical LRTS-i has a new G3 illuminated reticle with the control integrated on the side parallax focus. The power setting can be changed immediately with the flip of the ThrowHammer lever. It is offered in 3-12x44mm and 4.5-18x44mm.

Also from Bushnell is the DMR II-I model. It also features the G3 Illuminated Reticle, ThrowHammer lever, T-Lok locking windage turret, a fast focus eyepiece and more.
