Taurus Adds 1911 Commander-size pistol

Posted By TGM_Staff On Wednesday, October 30, 2019 04:37 PM. Under Product Spotlight

Taurus has just announced a new addition to its lineup of 1911 pistols, the 1911 Commander in 9mm.

With a 9-round capacity, this single-action semi-auto with an exposed hammer has the same dimensions and appearance as the .45-caliber pistol, with a smaller bore.

This new Taurus should be a quick hit with legally-armed citizens who prefer to carry a time-honored handgun. It’s got a steel slide and frame finished in matte black, a 4.2-inch barrel, drift-adjustable Novak front and rear sights dovetailed into the slide, cocking serrations fore and aft, firing pin block, beavertail grip safety with a bump, thumb safety and checkered black grips.

Overall length is 8 inches, and the pistol weighs just over 38 ounces, empty.

MSRP is $639.45
