Sturm Ruger is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Mini-14 semi-auto rifle, which has become an icon among outdoorsmen and women for its versatility.
Commemorating this milestone, Ruger is offering a Limited Edition 50th Anniversary model featuring a laser engraved anniversary logo on the bolt, polished stainless steel accents, a wood handguard, bayonet lug and flash suppressor, reminiscent of the original.
This rifle comes with a hard case, two magazines and scope rings.
The commemorative model, chambered for the 5.56mm NATO cartridge, features a handsome walnut stock, blued finish, an 18-inch cold hammer forged barrel cut with six lands and grooves on a 1:9-inch right-hand twist. The stock has a 13.75-inch length-of-pull, and the rifle has an overall length of 39.4 inches. It weighs 7.2 pounds. The barrel is topped by a protected front blade sight and adjustable ghost ring rear aperture sight.

The package includes a Picatinny rail, for which the receiver is drilled and tapped for mounting.
In the past five decades, Ruger’s Mini-14 has been offered in various presentations, including the Ranch Rifle with traditional wood stock, a Tactical version with black synthetic stock, and the Mini Thirty, chambered for the 7.62x39mm cartridge, in different configurations.
Some models have been offered with stainless steel barrels and receivers, with or without flash suppressors, and they have been used for hunting, predator control, and competition.
The 50th Anniversary model has an MSRP of $1,399, according to the Ruger website.
