Mark Walters, a member of the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms’ Board of Directors, and a veteran radio host, has been named to the TALKERS Magazine Heavy Hundred list of the top 100 broadcasters for the second year in a row.
Walters, who resides in Georgia, was notified on June 5 that he’s been named one “of the 100 Most Important Radio Talk Show Hosts in America” for the second consecutive year! In 2025 Walters ranked 91st on the list of most influential radio hosts. This year, he ascended in rank and is now occupying the 87th position.
“I’ve witnessed Mark grow over the years as a radio host and watched as he confidently found his voice,” said CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb. “Seeing him get this honor two years in a row is something we’re all proud of Mark for, and we’re blessed to have talent like him on our leadership team at the Committee.”
Walters, the veteran host of the long-running Armed American Radio show, was gratified at the news.
“Every radio host in the country waits for the release of the Heavy Hundred list every summer wondering if they’ll ever see their name included,” Walters said. “Last year was a humbling experience in and of itself. To be recognized by your industry peers for your work is an incredible feeling. Two years in a row? I don’t even know what to say other than THANK YOU to all of my listeners and sponsors over the last 18 years who make it all possible! I’m literally honored beyond words.”
Fellow CCRKBA Director Cam Edwards, host of Cam & Company and editor of BearingArms.com said, “it’s great to see Mark get the recognition that he deserves.” Edwards has also had a long career in broadcast and said that Walters is “a true champion of the Second Amendment and well deserving of being named one of the most impactful talk show hosts in the country.
“Plus, he’s just a great host. I always have a good time when I’m on Armed American Radio,” Edwards added.
CCRKBA is proud to have Walters on the Board of Directors and congratulates him, the organization said in a news release. You can listen to Walters on Armed American Radio Monday through Friday 4 to 6 p.m. and Sundays 8 to 11 p.m. EST.
