
Ruger’s LCP pocket-sized semi-auto pistol, originally introduced in .380 ACP, is now available in a rimfire version, the LCP II.
Chambered for the .22 Long Rifle cartridge, the LCP II has a 10-round magazine, giving it 11 shots with one in the chamber. It has a 2.8-inch barrel cut with six lands and grooves on a 1:16-inch right-hand twist. With an overall length of 5.2 inches, the pocket-sized pistol weighs a scant 11.2 ounces and features a black, high-performance glass-filled nylon grip frame.
Features include the Lite Rack system, alloy steel slide with black oxide finish, and stainless steel barrel, as 0.81-inch slide width, integral (fixed) sights.
The pistol, which is not available in either California or Massachusetts, also boasts a patented floorplate assembly on the magazine. Ruger supplies a single magazine with each pistol.
According to Ruger, the LCP II utilizes the reliable Secure Action fire control system, featuring an internal hammer and bladed-safety trigger. It also features a magazine disconnect, neutrally-balanced sear and strong spring tension.
